Spring program for boys in 5th & 6th grades

Goals:
• Reinforce previously taught fundamentals learned in Scouts and Warriors
• Reinforce basic offensive and defensive concepts, and expand on them:

- Offensive sets in 10v10 format (1-2-3, 1-4-1, 2-2-2)
- Offensive motion
- Extra-man Offense
- Setting picks
- Defensive sets in 10v10 format (crease slides, adjacent slides)
- Man-down Defense
- Checking (stick only)
- Clears & rides

Late-March until mid-June

Practice/Games:
• Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00-7:30PM (Games or practices)
• Saturday mornings from 9:00AM-10:30AM (practices)
• In the event that we have games scheduled for Saturdays, we will not have practice
• Home field: Murray Street Field
• Games against: Queensbury, Saratoga, SGF, Burnt Hills, & Ballston Spa

$140 Program Fee includes:
• Capital District Youth Lacrosse League (CDYLL) Dues
• US Lacrosse (USL) Dues
• GF Lacrosse Reversible Practice Jersey
• GF Lacrosse Helmet Decals
• GF Lacrosse Shirt
• Lacrosse Stick*
• College-level Coaches
• Field Space

Equipment**:
• Please note that equipment color is not essential. The requested equipment colors listed below are for new players who do not have equipment or existing players who need new equipment.
• The following equipment is required*:

- Helmet (RED Cascade CLH2 with BLACK visor and chin)
- Elbow Pads (BLACK)
- Gloves (BLACK)
- Shoulder Pads
- Athletic Supporter w/ Cup
- Mouthpiece
- Lacrosse/Football/Soccer Cleats (BLACK, RED, or WHITE)

* If a player already has two (2) lacrosse sticks, we will not issue him another one and instead we will deduct $20 from the cost of the program fee.

** Equipment is a separate cost from our Program Fee, but is available through our supplier, Ralph's Sporting Goods in Ballston Spa, NY at an excellent discount.
